Will Smith sure loves being in movies with "Legend" in the title. First, he did The Legend of Bagger Vance then it was I Am Legend. Now he's going to star in The Legend Of Cain.

According to Deadline, Smith will play the title role of Cain in the epic retelling of the biblical tale of Cain and Abel. But in this version there will be vampires. We crap you not.

Cain, according to the Bible, became the first murderer in human history when he slew his brother Abel. Their story was recently retold in Year One. Yep, we just made a Year One reference.

Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith will produce via their Overbrook Entertainment banner. No studio or director are attached yet, although the script was penned by Caleeb Pinkett and Dan Knauf. Andrea Berloff (World Trade Center) is revising the script.

Smith's next project is Men in Black III, which begins filming in August.

hey this could redeem vampires because twilight really fucked up the image of what a vampire is. im sceptical myself but who knows this could end up being great

I don't care if this contains "sparkly" vampires or some other kinds of vampires. Mixing any kind of vampire with the story of Cain and Abel is a horrible idea and premise. I don't know what Will Smith is doing here.

The Bible is nothing more than parables anyways, it's not like they are actually fucking with history. So even if the Vampires are presented as badass........................ you still say they can't be done again. SMH

so biblical story shouldnt be allowed to have some form of horror appeal to it if a movie was put out? its a movie dude its not like there taking the bible itself and re writting it
