I've seen Ice Warriors in HMV, but that was like fucking £17, I don't even pay £10 usually anymore unless it's one I've been out for or just really want.

Good man. I also think that Mission to The Unknown would be interesting to see, the first dr who story with none of the recurring cast, and it gives a taster to how the American dalek spin off might have been like. I doubt we'll see that though. Some more Troughton Dalek stories as we only have one surviving dalek episode with him, and no complete story at all. Oh, and Moonbase! Moonbase must be found! Sorry, up there I got confused with Wheel In Space and Moonbase. It's actually Moonbase I'd rather see. But I'm still desperate to see Wheel in Space back. The Cybermen in that don one of my favourite cybermen designs, and I think the first with the tear drop eyes.

Wrong. It just feels wrong.

And that Susan looks like someone in a really bad cosplay outfit. You know what, the pair of them look like a pair of cosplayers. The outfits may be okay, but the faces and how different they are to the real versions just puts it off. In fact, Susan looks like she's about 10 or 20 years older than Carol Anne Ford was when she was Susan. And that really looks like a wig she has on. And David Bradley looks a lot more lined than Hartnel ever did. He looks more like my grandfather than William Hartnel. He'd probably play a better Jon Pertwee, although he wouldn't look the part for him either.

What's the big deal? There's more to acting than being a look alike. If he doesn't embodie the character of the first doctor, then that would be grounds for complaining. Obviously he's a different actor. So what? They've done all they could to make the actor they chose as the best in that role to make him look like the original.

There's more to acting sometimes, sometimes you have to look the part. To me, it just feels wrong.

My understanding (from the articles) is that those are only for the anniversary special about Doctor Who. So, you won't be seeing them that much. They are just reenactments.

It's a movie about Hartnell. It's only logical that they'd bring up the fact that he played the Doctor. That being said, I like the look of those scenes. And since Hartnell has sadly passed away decades ago, this would be a sneaky way of getting the 12th and the 1st Doctor to meet up somewhere down the road.

It would surprise me if those weren't the original costumes from the BBC wardrobe. At the very least, the BBC would have saved some money on costume design and copied the originals seam for seam.

The outfits in the originals probably didn't look brilliant either, but you can't often tell because of the low definition of 60s television (and the degraded state of the recordings)

How much of that opinion is influenced by the age and styles used though. I'm not so old that I don't think she looks a bit older, but I'm putting a lot of that down to women in my parents generation (for the record my parents are either side of 60) still wearing their hair like that; or another way of saying a haircut like that will make you look older because of the age of people we generally associate with that haircut.
