  • I have an eating disorder

    Over the past several months I have noticed a drastic change in my eating habits. No I am not eating less I am eating more. I have gained over 50 pounds in the last 4 months. I can't stop eating. Even when I am not hungry, I just eat when I am bored. Even when it's 1 in the mornining I make a sandwhich just because. I need help...................

    I'd suggest changing the specific foods that you eat. Instead of wanting and eating a lunchmeat sandwich, maybe try a healthy bowl of cereal. Instead of relaxing and eating chips, Cheetos, etc., try some trail mix or some fruit salad. Maybe try smaller portions of food. Some exercise could be helpful to try to lose some of the weight that you've gained recently. I'd actually ask my regular doctor if he can provide any help, because I certainly don't have a PhD. If you have anything else you want to ask me privately you can always p/m me. I hope you can find some guidance that helps you out.

      sounds like a combonation of boredom and depression. i use to be the same way except i use to smoke non stop about 3 packs a day do to boredome. all i can really advise you on is do what i did and go on some anti anxiety medication

        Or, if you HAVE to chew something, chew gum, preferably sugar-free.

        But, really, you have to stop it, and only you can do it. Try to busy yourself with other things when you're bored, preferably exercise.

              Have the same problem myself.. I gained over 30 pounds this past 3 month because i miss my Soccer's games.. So exercises are the key. I hope start playing again this weekend & my wife is cheking my meals. But this is hard for me, my Job is too sedentary and im Too lazy . Without my wife i think i cant do it

                      Spy no offense but Atkins is a con so big I wouldn't be surprised if I found out L Ron Hubbard invented it, every single person I've known who tried it failed to drop so much as a single pound


                      If I were you Iron I'd go see a specialist, maybe your local Doctor can direct you somewhere and they're bound by the confidentiality cause to keep anything you say secret if you're worried about people finding out

                      It isn't a physical disorder so much as a mental one, a compulsion in the vein of OCD, it certainly isn't something you can fix by taking the advice of people on the internet, no offense to anyone intended

                        No, do not chew sugarless gum. Aspertame and other artificial sugars are worse for you than natural sugar.

                        Either take up smoking, or sunflower seeds.
