Welcome, one and all, to THE ROGUES GALLERY!, where the villains are hailed for their dastardly deeds because they don't get enough of it in the comics. So, without any more intro, let's begin...
(WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD!!!)
--Go-Go Chex made another appearance in this week's Ambush Bug: Year None #2. He returned again, only to sick more people on Ambush Bug in an attempt to stop him from... doing... something... I don't know. Anyways, Chex managed to scrape up a suicide-bombing alien, and a living Ice Cream Cone and Hamburger. ...I know, it doesn't make sense. But, then again, when has Ambush Bug EVER made sense? Oh, also, Deathstroke made an appearance, and, at the whim of Jann Jones(I shit you not), killed a Japanese version of Ambush Bug to retain his miniseries slot. Yep, DC is a COLD business...
--Deathstroke made a longer, more prominant appearance, however, in DCU: Last Will & Testament. In this issue, with his powers at his peak, Geo-Force decided to finally take down Deathstroke for what he did to his sister, Tara, better know to Titans fans as Terra. But, the fight was short-lived, however, as Deathstroke injected a serum into Geo that drained his powers. He then fell 20+ stories into a dumpster, and was stabbed through both his knees. Slade then revealed that he plans to the same to Brion that he did to Terra; turn him against his friends, and destroy them. But, to prevent this, Brion slits his own throat. Fearing having lost his investment, Slade ran to him and held him up. By doing so, he left himself open to attack, and Brion stabbed both of them with Slade's sword. Brion later awakes, saved by Doctor Mid-Nite, and having walked away with one great bragging right: He had beaten Deathstroke the Terminator. WITHOUT killing him.
--The Rogues really got brutal in the latest issue of Final Crisis: Rogues Revenge #2. Having turned away from Libra's offer to join him, the Rogues found that Libra had given some new lackies the Rogues' weapons. The NEW Rogues, cocky, decided thta they could take the Rogues. Boy, were they wrong. Heatwave melted his adversary, Weather Wizard fried his doppleganger, and then summoned a tornado inside another New Rogue, and busted him open. Trickster hung Mirror Man's adversary, then, finally, Captain Cold slowly froze his doppleganger, broke off his frozen arm, and then shot a frozen dagger into his head. After that, Cold got to confron his father, whom the NEW Rogues had been holding hostage. After not being able to kill his father himself, Cold let Heatwave burn him alive instead. But, that's not all. Zoom began to train Inertia as the NEW Kid Flash on behalf of Libra. The Motive?: Libra wants the Rogues to kill Kid Flash again. Also, Libra has hatched a plan to get the Rogues on his side: Weather Wizard would convince the Rogues to join him, or he'll kill his son.
--Teen Titans #62 was on shelves this week, shocasing a new villain: WONDERDOG?! Yep, that's right. In this issue, Marvin and Wendy came across a stray dog on Titans Island. Noticing he was completely dry, his origins are pretty much a mystery. About haalfway through the issue, Wendy goes to tell Marvin about a compliment Kid Devil had given them, when she walks in on a Hulk-Poodle of a Wonderdog, who has just killed Marvin. Scared sh*tless, Wendy runs for the elevator to escape, and tries to page the Titans for help. But, to no avail. Then, the elevator stalls, and she had to get out manually. However, once out, she comes face-to-face, yet again, with Wonderdog, who finally EATS HER. He then flys back to his master, and a new villain named Lycus.
Well, that's all from me for now. I have to go re-read the epicness distributed this week. But, before I go, I'll leave you with a villainous piece of artwork. This week, we're showcasing the ultimate assassin, Slade Wilson, a.k.a. Deathstroke the Terminator!
So, remember, always appreciate the villains. Because, without villains, there'd be no heroes.
