The weather starts to cool down (well in your neck of the woods it might be), and people across America start decorating their houses will frightful objects and adults buy bags of candy only to consume it for themselves. You know how people have variations on what’s considered the ultimate thrill ride? Some might say it’s jumping out of an airplane at a absurd height level. Others might say it’s jumping into a shark cage waiting in the deep ocean to see JAWS (not the film of course, but holy shit that would be cool). What if I told you the ultimate thrill ride is riding in a fighter jet, while escaping the Omega Beams! Warning they’re will be spoilers going forward! You have been warned!

REVIEW: Hal Jordan & The Green Lantern Corps #26

Brace yourselves kids, it’s time for another Green Lantern/New Gods crossover! While I wasn’t exactly positive when Green Lanterns crossed over with the New Gods, I’m always excited to see New Gods regardless. Namely because they’re a creation of Jack “King” Kirby, arguably one of the greatest minds who has ever worked in comic books. While I’m not exactly familiar with the workings of New Gods, they do catch my attention each time they show up. With this being Jack Kirby’s 100th birthday, a celebration is needed for the King of comics! Warning they’re will be spoilers, read your book before hand. You have been warned.

You know they’re is an old saying that goes like this, “the apple never falls far from the tree.” No matter how much we try as children to march a different path than our parents. Yes we rebel in our teenage and early adult years, but for most people they become their parents. We claw our way into finding our own sense of individuality as adulthood becomes the norm, until you wake up one morning and scream. Even in the world of DC where legacy is king, certain characters can’t escape their future. Warning they’re will be spoilers going forward. You have been warned.

REVIEW: Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps #24

Alliances are fragile, we as humans ally ourselves with each other for protection from a greater threat or a common interest. Yet when you look at history, alliances are difficult to form, yet so easily shattered. There is something in our DNA that makes humanity just want to start a relationship, start some shit then immediately break of said relationship no matter now long it lasted. Same goes within the universe of comics, the deadliest of foes have teamed up only to be back at each others throats within six months. Now if that doesn’t tell about this issue then I don’t know what will. Warning they’re will be spoilers. You have been warned.

Throughout time we as people have always found a way to retain some sort of normalcy. No matter the chaos surrounding the world at any given time, it’s utterly important to keep with a routine. It’s not something explored deeply in the realm of superhero comics. Yes they’re breather issues occasionally that give some introspective to the lives of the heroes we follow on a weekly basis, but usually it’s one shattering crisis after another. Forcing readers to keep with up a break neck speed. Does this issue continue the rapid pace or does it slow thing down a bit. They’re will be spoilers, you have been warned.
